NEW DELHI: Microsoft's co-founder Paul Allen has fired yet another salvo at Bill Gates. Allen has accused his friend, now 'seemingly' foe, of causing him $40 billion loss. This time, Allen has blamed Gates of not letting him invest in internet giant AOL which could have earned him over $40 billion.
According to a report in Business Insider, Allen writes in his memoir that Gates argued that Microsoft would be able to crush AOL.
Recently, in his autobiography titled 'Idea Man', Allen also accuses Gates of scheming. "I helped start the company and was still an active member of management, though limited by my illness, and now my partner and my colleague were scheming to rip me off," he writes.
"It was mercenary opportunism, plain and simple." By 1983, he was gone from the company he helped build.
